Default new clutch

can some one explain to me what is the deal with the new clutch on the new v-rods and the new buells? what makes it so special?

Also was the spec sheet in DEC 07 AIM wrong? the article said the vrods have a 1250 cc and the spec sheets said 1150. which is correct?

You are correct. All new 2008 Vrods are outfitted with the 1250cc motor, and the slipper clutch. The nice thing about the new clutch is that if you downshift with high rpms, your rear end won't get squirrely on you and bark the tire. Very important if you are riding through a corner and need to slow down quick.

Also, all 2008 models can be ordered with optional ABS brakes.

The second piece to the new slipper clutch is that is has the lightest clutch pull of any Harley clutch.

Yes, the '08s are 1250s, 5 more ponies and 5 more ft/lbs. They are also heavier by about 50 lbs.

A mate had his 1250 on the dyno seems my 1130 is faster up to about 150kph
the 1130 has heaps more mid range, well at least on these 2 bikes.
I loke the old style clutch I d o like it getting squiggly now and then.
