Default 2003 H-VRSCA V-Rod

I plan to purchase this bike within a few days & want to ask the experienced V-Rod Riders if there is anything in particular I should look for. The bike only has 3000 miles on it. Thanks...

I'm not sure if the 03 A had a recall on the fuel flange or not. I know a bunch were fixed under warranty. See if that was taken care of. That's the only trouble I know of with that model. Check out 1130cc.com and check the VRSCA thread. There is quite a bit of history on that bike already and a whole lot of owners.

ok & thanks. Rode the bike home yesterday & changed the oil today. Everything is correct. Puts me in mind of two former bikes I owned. A V-Max & a Honda Superhawk twin.

Congrats on the new bike! Welcome to the world of Porsche-Davidson ownership.
With the other former bikes, you should have no problem with the A. V-rods "come on" at 4K. With a judicious blip of the throttle you can down shift to first at 30-35. The bike will do well over 50 in first. The V-max has a higher top-end, but the rods accelerate and handle better.
Enjoy the ride.

Thanks DesertSpeed, Changed the front brake pads today. They were too soft for my style.
