Default Oil leak...

small oil leak on right side cam cover. It stopped for a couple days & now it has came back. I have a two year extended warranty but just the annoyance takes some of the pleasure away. Harley can tick me off at times. A frigging 100 Japanese's bikes & never a leak. GEEZ Harley get it RIGHT!

Mine looked like it was from the left cover. Atually the rocker box breather hose was loose.

I agree. Ed it's much more likely that the breather hose that lines up in a spot on the base plate for the air cleaner is not lined up allowing oil to drip on your motor. Let us know how you make out.

You know it the 70's and 80's that was considered charcter, it is probally just a loose concector some where. If you think Jappas don't leak come to the shop one day, I'll show you the ones waiting for some sort of fix.

Anytime you have two big pistons rising and falling together there are tremendous crankcase pressure variations going on. A ricer with the same engine architecture would face the same challenges. I'll take the Harley anytime.
