Default New Avatar

I just changed my avatar here and replaced the old Panhead with a photo of my 2006 Street Rod V-Rod.

I am planning on using this as the basis for a project for the magazine sometime later in the year.

It is FAST!!!!!!!!

Here is a larger photo of it in case you are curious

Good looking V Rod you have there, I cant wait to read and see what you do with it. I call dibs on the forks if you change them out.

Plans are still in the air, but I suspect will be selling the entire front end (with triple trees, forks and axle) and possibly the front brake set up.

I'll also possibly sell the beautiful Arlen Ness wheels and Kerker exhaust.

But we'll see.

Sounds like you have some cool plans in the works, I am serious about the forks and triple tree, and axle. Just let me know, I want to install inverted forks on my DX.

Cool V-Rod

Hey Buzz Nice bike! I still ride my FXDX but I have been really curious about these wetheads. I really like the speed. Is is true about the "falling over" at low speeds? BTW have been reading AIM since the mid 90's and enjoy your commentary.

Im sure Buzz will chim in here, I can say the V Rods with wide rear tires do handle differently. They do feel like they want to stand up on slow turns, you need to give alittle more effort into slow spped turns, nothing bad just different if your not used to it. At higher speeds it feels fine. The bikes that dont have the wide rear wheel seem to be fine and handle just like any other cruiser.
