Default an issue resolved

Got my 08 V-rod a couple of months ago and wouldnt trade it for any other bike-great ride. It did take a little getting used to forward controls , but thats grown on me too.The problem i had was touching the exhaust with my leg. It has shields but still would light you up pretty good. I ordered the recessed foot peg kit ,which brings it back a couple of inches ,but also gives you a little more spread for the legs. The last three rides I havent been scorched yet, Dont know if Im the only one who had this problem ,but its a sure fix!!!!!!!!

hey rj yeah stayed with chrome thinking the black woudnt stay looking too good with the boots all over it.but it really wasnt a matter of reach as much as an adjustment to get away from the exhaust.

You're not alone. I haven't been scorched, but I know a few that have.

I've been scorched by an '03A and the reduced reach pegs did help a bit but not enough on a long ride. I took to sewing a potholder on the inside of my riding pant leg.

I am hoping the the 2008 will be different, but haven't taken the potholder off yet.

Thanks Cody. It is so good to have a V-Rod back in my life!!!

It arrived at the dealership just before closing tonight as it was a trade. If the rains hold back there is a strong chance I'll ride tomorrow!
