| | Factory Touring V-Rod? Rumors have been flying for a couple of years about a possible V-Rod bagger with FLH style windshield. Anyone know anything about this or is it wishful thinking? |

| | I don't have THEE answer for you. But,just the other day I was a Wolverine HD and saw a V-Rod with what looked like a Road Glide fairing, hard bags, and long rear fender, etc.,parked there. I was on my way out when I saw it and did'nt have time to check it out real close. Looked kind of cool, though. Possibley something that someone put together themselves ???

| | I have heard this rumor ever since the V-rod came out, have given up thinking about it.
The V-rod was created for a new market, the Euro, squidies, young guys that would not buy a HD.
My guess is that HD sells all the touring bikes it makes, why compete with themselves.
Kind of like opening two restaurants by the same chain down the street from each other.
I will tell you, this would be the only thing to tempt to a new bike.
The EPA regulation might be a bigger factor than market pressure, and we might see it, but don’t hold the preverbal breath. |

| | Any new bikes to come the MoCo keeps a lid on it very well, I'm sure nobody will know what is to come untill it gets here.
I do think some sort of bagger with the revo powerplant will be around someday but I would be willing to bet there will first be some more bolt on stuff for the current VRSC line, and from how well that stuff sells they will decide on a whole new model. But then again, I'm only guessing. who knows maybe there will be a VRSCFL in 09

| | Only two things have really leaked out of KC: Yes, they are testing the bagger. The motor is a 1450 Revo. (Holy Horsepower, Batman!!)

| | I will buy this bike if it happens. I would hope its an all new frame and a true touring / sport touring bike, not just a v rod with a windshield and bags. Give me an Ultra like bike with a bigger and re tuned version of the revo engine. |

I think that it would have to have very traditional styling cues to capture the crossover market from the air cooled touring bikes.
I wonder about low end torque with the V-Rod platform. I don't know if gearing could replicate the big V-twin sound and feel on the bottom end.
Watch out BMW and Goldwing. I have a feeling that if H-D ever put their mind to it... | The revo will never sound like the traditional harley, but I'm sure torque would be no problem to match. I do think your right about the styling cues, I bet many of the people that don't like the Vrod is because it doesn't look like every other harley....I for one like it for that reason.

| | Sorry, but making the VROD into a big bagger is like taking a Corvette and putting the front of a 56 Chrysler on it with a continental kit on the back end. The whole point of the bike was to not be a traditional Harley. | | | |
