I had an interesting conversation with a V-Rod development Team member last week. They had a Touring Bike with a Revolution motor in it. They decided not to introduce it because they said it would take away sales from the other models. Go figgure.

What's going to happen when all the other models go water cooled with a revo or who knows what kind of motor?? Will all of us old farts NOT buy them because they're not real Harley's? I think most of us will. I for one am waiting anxiously!!

It seems that this is EXACTLY the course HD is going.

The revamp of the touring frame is without a doubt in order to put in a more stout motor in the near future. HD has a tendency to roll in upgrades one step at a time. The only question I have is will they put in a water cooled V-Twin, or will they go with an oil cooled head like they have on the XR1200 Sportster. Next year will bring some interesting changes to the Touring line. Of course this is purly speculation, but feel free to mark my words.

So long as that new powerplant for the touring models comes in a blacked-out version, I'm happy.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

I just noticed your signature. Congratulations! Reading your posts over the years on various forums leads me to believe you will be a very good VROD editor.

Thank you. I appreciate your vote of confidence. It's really kind of scary how a hobby can consume you in just a few years.

Ain't that the truth! Does AIM need a sittin'-on-the-couch-watchin'-football-and-NASCAR editor?

If so, I think I've found my niche!
