Default Harley V Rods In Magazine

In case you have not noticed, we have been running more V-Rod editorial in the magazine with positive feedback from our readers.

As the V-Rods become more popular with Harley riders we will increase how often we feature them. In fact we will be making a major announcement about V-Rods and American Iron Magazine here shortly.

I kinda like the V-Rods and am curious why they aren't more popular with harley riders.

Oh boy Oh boy Oh boy! Cant wait!

Bargain Hunter, They are very popular with their owners. What a great bike!!! The rest are starting to accept it. Like any other new line to come out it takes quite a bit of time to be accepted. We are a stubborn bunch.

Its the whole new design that makes it a "non" Harley.
I took that new V-rod out for a demo ride (back in 02') and thought it was one primo ride. It handled better that any Harley I've every owned. The response on acceleration was remarkable, at least to me. I just couldn't get into the radiator and the 60 degree motor.....
I've tried to not like the v-rod but I actually do really like it. I think that I will try to get my wife to consider an upgrade to that bike when the time comes to lose the sporty.
I'm curios as to how the v-rod is on a long ride. I may have to rent one and test it out.

Street,
I use mine quite often on road trips. My longest yet was a 2300 mile 8 day trip to Nova Scotia from LI NY. The other guys were chewing advils and I was always ready to roll. Very comfy IMHO.

Bob,
Imagine, if you will, the longest bike Harley makes, with the lowest center of gravity and a silk smooth engine that starts singing at 75 mph and is in great voice at 80mph.
Then imagine at 75mph you can kick it down to 2nd for hard acceleration up over 95mph.
Since there is little vibration, it's easy to stay on a V-rod all day.
Nobody needs to tell me about vibration. My other bike is a single cylinder 500. The engine is hard mounted to the frame. Everything else is rubber mounted.
