Default V-Rod Rotors

Knowing how the brake rotors on V-Rods tend to warp over time I am interested in a replacement set for my project Street Rod we hope to start featuring in American Iron Magazine in the spring.

Ideally we are looking for a set of lighter than stock floating rotors for the V-Rod. Lyndall said they would have them but we are still waiting. Any other suggestions?

I know for weight reduction some guys go with the Buell wheel and rotor setup. As far as stand alone rotors, I'm looking around as well.

The problem is that the rotors on the V-rod aren't interchangeable with any other HD- Line bike. The rotor companies would have to make a special jig just for V-Rod Rotors. There just isn't the market for them in the US of A. You do have a couple european manufacturers, I'm thinking Galfer makes a set for V-Rods. Call them and make sure they fit the custom wheels you're running. If you are using Brembo Calipers on stock wheels, you're set.

Link Here.

Buzz... Tell me what you want with the rotors and I can have them made for you...After all, I am partners in a machine shop.
Just give me the details.
We can do something with the graphics that say AMERICAN IRON MAGAZINE engraved in the rotors, done in black powder coat( or any color).
I also do powder coating on the side.

Question

I saw that post earlier...and had meant question the idea of powder-coating brake rotors. I mean we're talking about areas of the them other than the pad contact surfaces...right ??
