Default Sealing Spoke Wheels

I would like to keep my OEM Harley ('07 Heritage) wheels, maybe replace them someday with 60 spoke 18 inch wheels and low profile tires, but in the meantime, I think I might entertain sealing the wheels to maybe run tubeless, or optionally run tubes, but go flat slowly if they leak instead of all at once as is typical with leaky spoke wheels. Has anyone any experience with this stuff? Cost is abour 250 bucks for new spokes and sealing OEM wheels. New (high quality) spokes are supposed to make them almost maintenance free after sealing.
