Red face 2006 XL 1200 Custom Chrome Slotted Wheel on 2004 FXDLI?

I have a new take-off rear wheel I would like mount on the rear of my 2004 FXDLI. Wheel in question is a chrome slotted alloy wheel from a 2006 XL 1200 Custom. There are no H-D part numbers on the wheel, just says it's a 16" X 3", which corresponds to my Dyna's size.

Part number is 43335-05. I'm scheduled to have new Metzlers installed Saturday morning and would like to have this wheel mounted then if possible.

Thanks all!

In the book I'm looking at it say's they are compatible, 00-05 dyna except FXSTD, and something about a"wheel installation kit" what ever that means. Slotted Six spoke.

Appreciate it 4cams. I have the installation kit set aside at the dealer right next to the wheel. I'll find out tomorrow morning but until then, I'm keepin' my fingers crossed.

Default Monday Morning Follow Up

It worked!

No problems encountered mounting the '06 Sporty 1200 Custom rear wheel on my '04 FXDLI. Did not need to use the installation kit as moving the parts from the old wheel to the new worked perfectly. Since the wheel was a new takeoff, it had a new bearing that worked perfectly. BTW, I switched from factory Dunlops to Metzlers. Very nice ride home . . .

Thanks again to everyone here for helping out w/advice!

JB
