Default tire/tube sealer

Are there any benefits or concerns with using a tire/tube sealer? I ride on spoke wheels and will untill time for new tires at which time i plan to go to mag wheels and tubeless, but in the mean time wondered about increasing the safety factor with one of these products.

Thumbs up Tire/tube sealer

Hi ddgrasse

I don't know..maybe I'm kind of anal about the stuff. But I put it in EVERYtire/tube,I've got. I mean it sure can't hurt anything,in my mind. Just make sure you inform anyone working on your tires that it's in there. Because it's kind of nasty stuff if/when is comes blowing out of the valve stem, etc and kind of gunks up the tube and/or inner tire walls.

Nope, not really. I think the last 2-3 cans (packaged that way) were bought (some name brand) at Costco. But,I'd be as interested as you in hearing if/why anyone here does have a preference..thanks for bringing it up.

Default I hate that crap......with a caveat

I change my own tires in my garage. I hate that crap in the tubless tires. It's just a mess to work with.

In a bike with tubes, I guess it would be OK, but I perfer not to have to deal with that stuff.

Maybe this should be a new topic, but has anyone heard of Rhino Tires? Does anyone know if they make tires for Harley's?
