Default Wheel Weights on Spoked wheels

Anyone have any tips on how to remove wheel weights from spoked wheels? I tried to pry them open with a screw driver, pull on them with pliers, I'm about ready to cut the spoke and replace it........Thanks in advance.

Ones that are stuck on with tape? I sprayed a little solvent in the crack to eat the adhesive a bit. Then used a dull chisel and gave it some taps on the top side straight down the spoke so you dont bend the spoke. Short rapid taps.

Thanks. With the width of the wheel, you really can't get a good angle on it. I tried to use a chisel to tap it off, but the angle was far from parallel to the spoke. I finally decided to just hack at it, if the spoke breaks, it needs to be replaced anyway!!

I dont have personal experience but if it's being that much of a beaach, what about a little heat from a propane torch? Led melts pretty easy. Caution: this may be a stupid idea
