I'm sure you'll get more than 8k out of them, just make sure you always check your air pressure.

I have an 04 FLHRCI and just changed my stock rear tire for the first time at 16500. I'm in Georgia, so it must be your roads.

That's impressive. My Ultra goes through rear tires in about 7 to 9 thousand miles, 75-80% or mileage is two up.

Just ordered a rear Dunlop for my 05 Fat Boy. I'm at 21,000. I ride solo 95% of the time.

04 Ultra, with 52,000 miles. Just put my 3rd front on, and usually get about 12,000 from a rear. I always carry raingear, tools, and extra junk, and ride hard enough that I have ground off the lower fairing edge on the right, and the floorboard edge on the left. Running stock Dunlops, but at the max pressure listed on the sidewall, and 25lbs in the rear shocks.

My Front tire lasts about 10K miles. My rear is only good for maybe 10 miles (About 40 passes on the quarter mile. )

I know, I should only use them for about 5 miles, but I'm cheap.

I would think your front tire would last much longer, since it is not touching the ground for most of the 1/4.
