Looks like a factory "Custom" like my BMC or a Swift, Big Dog etc....

Keystone - Thunder Mountain Customs

So the loctite is probly the enemy here, since I'm gonna guess that left hand threads are not that common for front axles.

Does your front axle look like this???

but If yours dont look like this.... can you send pictures???

if so the bolts underneath come loose first and they might take a tap with a hammer on the allen head wrench. I like to use an allen on a socket...then you can tap the socket easier. heating these with all the chrome here can do damage.
Like Bigincher says use the smaller torch, they are easier to control and dont blast flames all over like a plumbers torch can.

Bigincher,
The torch idea was perfect for Keystones situation...
kinda funny after all these years, and I still dont have one!!!! I use heat gun or the bigger (plumbers) torch with home made attachements to make the flame smaller.

it needs a little restoration work, for example it does not have a seat lols, i really dislike the exhausts on it, the foot stand needs repair, also it has some dents on the gas tank and the front wheel cover, i promise to post some picture when its all finished )

Welcome Keystoneboy, The bike looks like a real good opportunity to deal with those little details and be able to make it into what you feel a custom V twin should be rather than what some committee decided.
Looking forward to seeing the finished bike!
