Wow, thats great! your gonna have fun getting it all done to your spec's. Thats cool your dad rides too. nice couple of bikes. I love those fat tire bikes...... I put over 20k on mine in the first 18 months. then I got the Ultra classic so the wife can go with me,,,, and the poor chopper just sets at home. I get to go out for a blast once in a while tho.

i think im just going to call up Thunder mountain and get their stock seat, because i looked into some custom seat designs and the prices they gave me were too much for me to afford right now
Any swap meets in your area??? your bike is similar to a lot of others out there. you may find one at a considerable savings. Have you checked out craigslist ?
Just a thought.

Don't know what style the seat is, solo or two up, but there are two on E-bay from thunder mountain.

i have seen both of the ones on ebay, but they do not fit my bike, because i contacted the sellers and they told me so, also last time i checked craigslist i found nothing :/
Thats funny... I couldnt pass it up...seeing both bikes there.....
I got a BMC with a 240 on the back (actually the frame and rake is alot like yours).
The seat that came with it is from Corbin, and it is rock hard. They say it is that way on purpose. A soft seat supposedly dont do much good and wears out faster cuz the leather moves alot. I had back surgury about 10 years ago and the hard seat dont seem to make it hurt. but then, all riders are different. hopefully you can find one that suits you and not break the budget on it.
Can you make one? start with a piece of sheet metal, then go from there???

Bigincher,
The torch idea was perfect for Keystones situation...
kinda funny after all these years, and I still dont have one!!!! I use heat gun or the bigger (plumbers) torch with home made attachements to make the flame smaller.
Yes, kinda funny the things I don't have, too, even after 35 years...! Glad he got those pinch bolts out. People have a tendancy to over-use Loctite, or used Red in the wrong places. Red is strictly for stud and bearing mounts.
