Get a new rear tire and tube on my 2007 Dyna this week I hope and will install the 2oz in the tube then. A little later will install a new front tire and the 1 oz beads. Will see how well they work in the rear. They sound like they will keep the tire bal., as the tire wears which will also I hope I will get more mileage out of the tires, The front tire on my bike now has cupped very bad and the beads will stop that with the new front tire I hpoe as Dyna Beads site says it will. Have a great day now eh and again thank-you for the info. Greg from the Great White North.
Greg, let Us know how it goes.

Try to put the beads into the tube before you install the tube. May be easier.

Geez, Guys...if a tire's "cupped" it aint safe...it's damaged...the rubber is thinner in some places than others...belts etc are queered...and re-balancing it to compensate is'nt going to make it any safer or handle better...THINK about it.

Gas Man I was thinking to do that, but the Harley dealer may not want to do that or if they did, may spill half the beads onto the floor and would not say that they did so, so I was going to get them to install the new rear tire and tube and have them remove the old spoke balancing weights and not balance the wheel and tire so when I get the bike home I then would install the beads myself, and know it was done wright!!! I would take the back roads home so as not ride any faster then needed with the back wheel not balanced. evoKENevo, I was not going to use the beads in a front tire that is already badly cupped like on my 2007 FXDL with 36,000 KM'M on it. Dyna Bead site says not to intall the beads in a tube that has been in use that long as I under stand from their site. I was going to wait till I have a new front tire and tube installed soon after the rear one, then put them in a brand new tire and tube. Thank-you all and you all have a great Thursday now eh. Ride safe. Greg [diesel2]

Diesel
I see now that your sentence regarding your badly cupped front tire ran on to say you hoped the beads would stop that...in the NEW front tire...etc.

"Whew"......sorry 'bout that.

Oh,well...maybe my last post and your reply to it just might keep someone else from mis-reading what I did...and doing what it seemed to me you were thinking of doing.

Diesel... yeah they may not and I understand not trusting all the folks... hence my sig line. Just do the beads before you put the wheel on. It will be easier.

evo... ya know just because drinking and posting doesn't carry the same laws as drinking and driving doesn't mean you should do it anyway. JEESH! LOL

Well I just ordered two tires to put on mine and a buddys bikes...I also just ordered Dyna Beads, applicator and 4 filtered valve cores..Hopefully it will all get here, and I'll get them on(the tires) and in (the beads) next week..
I was going to buy a static balancer, but saw the Dyna Beads and thought I'd give em a try..
