Default Seminars announced for 2009 AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- Riding experience isn't a given. It has to be acquired over time. Nevertheless, the motorcycling community is full of long-time riders who are ready and willing to help you along on the road to better, safer riding. One of the best places to find those experienced teachers this summer will be at the AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference, presented by Harley-Davidson and Buell.

Set for Aug. 19-22 in scenic Keystone, Colo., the fifth AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference, presented by Harley-Davidson and Buell, will be the most informative ever. A full slate of seminars will cover almost every aspect of riding.

"New and veteran riders alike will benefit from insider tips on a host of subjects at the conference seminars," said AMA Special Events Manager Tigra Tsujikawa. "Topics range from street survival skills, to preparing for long motorcycling trips, to working with a dealer when buying a motorcycle, to maximizing the 'adventure' when adventure touring. No matter what your personal background, you'll find something that will make you a better, more well-rounded rider at the conference."

Everyone who registers will enjoy access to all conference seminars (shown below) in addition to demo rides and other activities. Also included is admission to the opening ceremonies on Aug. 19, a barn dance on Aug. 20 and a closing banquet on Aug. 22. Both the barn dance and closing banquet include dinner.

Registration is $165 through Aug. 3, which includes conference materials and a commemorative t-shirt. Registration after Aug. 3, as well as on-site registration, will cost $185. Participants can register now at International Women & Motorcycling Conference or by phone by calling (800) AMA-JOIN. While the event focuses on women riders, it is not women-only. Men are also welcome to participate with a paid registration.

Keep an eye on International Women & Motorcycling Conference for regular updates about the conference, including new seminar topics as they're finalized. Sign up for e-mail alerts by e-mailing the AMA at info@womenandmotorcycling.com.
