Default Leather Vests

Never got into wearing aleather vset and never understood the value of them when riding other than to add a few more pockets to carry stuff.

So what's the deal with leather vests? I wear leather jackets most of the time but not a vest.

Baggerdad,
I have a leather vest that is very seldom worn. I do, however, wear my denim vest a lot - it keeps the wind from beating me up plus it has a couple of nice inner pockets for a perfect place to tuck my Kal-Tec .380

Yep, nice to keep the air off the chest without closing up a full jacket and all that heat.

Wear it when its not quite cold enough for a jacket, plus the pockets for carrying stuff.

I wear mine for, like you stated, puckets, but I also found it keeps the wind from flapping my shirt and beatin me to a red pulp. I know I should wear my leather coat for more protection for (knock on wood) anything that should arise, but I just don't like wearing it unless its cold, or rainy.

Pockets, Protection from the elements. Something to put on the ground so your "Sweet Cakes" dont get her butt dirty when you stop. Use it to swat at bees and bats. Throw it over your head to keep the sun out of your eyes when you stop and catch a few winks. Covers the revolver you carry on your hip. Uh......You can boil and eat it if caught in a blizzard with no food. Use it to patch yer Seat, Shoes. Hold up in front of "Sweet Cakes" while she is peeing in a ditch or around people. Covers the big gut you all of a sudden woke up with. Geez I can go on if needed. Use it to flag down that car of good looking gals that are about to pass by...........

Default vest

Hey Joe,

You sold me. When Fay leaves I am headed to Hot Leather in Daytona. Haven`t worn one in years.

Pockets for carrying small items, and for cooler riding weather when a lightweight leather jacket would be too much. I like wearing a leather vest, but not all the time.
