Default helmet for Rider's Edge course?

Good morning everyone....October already can you believe it?

New year coming means I'm getting closer to my new bike (pay off divorce attorney, income tax refund..wohoo)

so in preping for the Rider's Edge course...it states I need a DOT approved helmet, that is all.

I was going to ask of those that have taken the course, does it matter which kind I show with long as it's DOT approved.

There are as many choices in helmets as there are the type of bike you want, bars, exhausts, seats...so I was just asking what everyone else used. Going to head in this weekend and pick one up

thanks,

I took the ABATE version... all you need is a DOT approved helmet. Can be a shorty, half, 3/4, or full. Doesn't matter. Most basic courses will have helmets available for you, but I can't vouch for every Rider's Edge class. Reckon it depends on the dealership that's sponsoring.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

The ones sponsered at the Harley dealerships, you have to bring your own helmet.

The one I was looking at for Texas R.I.D.E.R., they supply helmets.

but the Texas R.I.D.E.R is only two days...where the Harley version is only $50 more and 2 half days and 2 full days....thought the Harley one might be better or give me more instructor time/seat time.

thanks for help,

I took riders edge in Atlanta. Had to have either full or 3/4 and you had to bring it. I would suggest contacting the dealership giving the class and ask what there requirement is.

Just as long as it is DOT approved. Pick one up that you plan on using after the course if you choose to wear a lid.

The main difference/extra time with the riders edge over an MSF class is a HD agenda sales pitch..not more training.
