Default My New Vanson Race Leathers

As I have mentioned here and at our classic American iron site www.caimag.com, I am planning on bringing my 1931 Harley V flathead down to Wheels Through Time museum Wheels Through Time - Home to rebuild it and get it ready to race at Maxton for a land speed record in a couple of weeks.

The bike has not been started in at least 20 years so it should be interesting. We start work on it a week from today (Monday) and have to bring it to Maxton NC a week from Friday for tech. Not much time.

My new racing leathers arrived from Vanson Vanson Leathers - Textile and Leather Jackets, Racing suits & riding apparel for men and women: Vanson Leathers America's leading producer of motorcycle clothing. and they look great. Here are a couple of photos of me trying them out here at the office.

I'd like to invite everyone to come and check out the action at the Maxton Mile near Rockingham, NC on October 25 & 26. We will be at Wheels Through Time in Maggie Valley most of the week before that prepping the old Harley sidevalve.

Wish us luck.

I'll be there if my bike makes it. If you need someone to get in the way and say excuse me at WTT let me know. I might be able to swing another day away.

Oh, I forgot. Nice leather.

Are those the new lightweight boots Buzz?

Good luck and have you ever considered better ways to advertise for my favorite magazine?

Don't think I'll be there but sure hope other magazine reeaders and forum members will be there to cheer you along on that old flatty.

Will there be an American Iron Magazine pit area for those lucky SOBs who can get there? If so, how do we find it?

How you ended up a magazine editor instead of gracing their covers as a Zoolander caliber male model... the world may never know.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.
