Hey Unc......I dunno about crushing the inside of the helemet to get it to fit. The integrity will be compromised. Course some protection is better than none I guess.

Yeah about the size thing I agree with Rick. XL for one may be a large for another. Our bodies are all different anyway. Our lumps and bumps do not match the same size guy next to you.

A little about me that most of you would not give a rats ass about. I am kinda picky about fit sometimes. Its gotta feel right and comfy. I can go to a store and grab 5 pairs of Levis off the shelf. Two might fit. The others are kinda weird. One leg longer than the other. Too tight on my fat butt or waist is goofy. Mass produced! Besides those jeans are getting thinner in material!Cheap bastards. Price has not gone down........

So, your saying my body isn't as good as Brad Pitt's is? Damn! I thought I was looking good. lol

I agree with you on the pants thing. I have had that problem with levis jeans myself. I refuse to by levis anymore since they are supportive of the gay marrage thing and also support the anti gunners at every chance they get. So screw them. I find Wrangler a much more uniform construction and they aren't so politically irritating to me. lol. I'm crap I know it.

I hate that many clothing manufacturers are making cheaper clothing now. If they make their crap cheap then they should drop the cost. I ain't buying thier brand name. I'm buying their pants.

Oh well. I climb down from my soap box and climb on my bike. Ride into the sunset.

Hey guys, don't forget that levi's are the only brand that back up their jeans with a lifetime warranty!!!!!cloth tears? take em in!!!seam fails???take em back!!!botton holes tear????take em back and they will replace them w/ like size levi's. Didn't know? Its true! I have done this on many occasions...levi's 10 years old! just getting comfortable and botton holes start ripping...they will replace them..but only if it is a failure of the cloth or seams... not something where u caught them on a nail and ripped them.

As for helmets...I don't know what to tell you ..but the suggestion to take a hammer to you head to make helmet fit sounds painfull!!!!

Try a site called advance carbon, they make the helmets. A little pricy but fit great. Mine is a Xlarge, but it came with two different thinkness pads to install for different thicknesses. Very light and fits great.

I have the same problem - helmets are a b...h for me to find the right fit. I wondered into a Honda dealer and found a Scorpion Helmet - great fit - great hidden visor - good fit.....

Doesn't say Harley - but when I pass you - who cares!!!!!

I'm the same way... I have about 3 helmets now. I have a Nolan full face modular which is hands down a high end quality helmet made in Italy not china. I have a choko 1/2 dot that I wear 90% of the time. Then I recently got a Daytona 3/4 dot. I wore wear that on my long highway trips as it blocks a good deal of wind noise for my ears.

I see an opportunity for helmet manufactures create a portable system to measure customer's heads, custom assemble helmets to fit. They could attend bike rallys across the nation, sell custom helmet on the spot. I think this would be a great way to address our problem of finding a great fitting helmet. I'd buy one.
