To each their own. Theres a sayin that states "wear what ya want to wreck in"....I got a 6000 dollar scuff mark in my left knee that reminds me of that sayin quite often. But even at that, I still don't wear my leathers all the time. I generally know how I'm gonna be ridin when I head out. And if I'm plannin on narrowin up my chicken strips on the tire sidewalls I will definatly put em on. I also wear tan leathers which may be a little cooler in the sun.

Who wears anythng on a bike for how they look. Must not be ridding much. Most items people wear serve a purpose, protection from wind, rain, sun, rocks, ect. Wear what you want. If looks are what your going for so what.

Here in cali I have seen them worn at one to many homosexual gathering...without anything else on (see no shirt or pants) but a g string...shudder.

Wide
Have you been dropping down the hill to Palm Springs? I have heard, but have not seen them there, but some friends who live there complain when they have their gay pride days or what ever they call it. They don't want to let their kids out to see men in g strings and chaps, holding hands etc. I think I just lost my appetite.

Well, my girlie friend bought half of mine, they cost 80.00 on sale in Ft. Worth, so she say's I need to wear em. I usually wear them in cooler weather, so here in Texas, its been way too hot lately, but don't mind wearing on a 100 mile putt in the fall. I like the way people stare at me at the truck stops when I get gas, they probably think I'm going on a long trip when I'm probably only 20 miles from the house.. I think they're always a good idea to have in my saddle bags along with my jacket for when they're needed. Never once thought about the gay thing.

Methinks it's a fashion statement.

Whilst trying to keep it clean, here's an example why chaps are like magnets to us guys eyeballs!!

And that's OK with me!

Why guys wear'em...I'll never know!!

PS...ok, so she's on a horse....you get the idea, no?

regardless ...no blunt force trama protection, I wonder though......wouldn't the Kevlar 'Draggin Jeans' be a better alternative ? They give me plenty of warmth yet breath easily in the summer and the kevlars gotta be worth something....right ??

Simple -- I like'em. Now about that "unprotected area" -- "windbriefs". They really work.
