Maybe I'm weird, but I have a thing about riding gloves and own a whole bunch of different types and weights of gloves. I have heavy winter gloves (but not electric as they don't make 6 volt ones), cold weather cloves, mid temperature gloves, light summer gloves and a set of gloves with holes all over them.
But I never wear those fingerless gloves as I want protection if my fingers hit anything (been down, hit flying junk on the road and banged into bushes and tree branches too often). But I do like those newer gloves with the gel lining to lessen the vibration to my palm and fingers.
It's not unusual for me to wear one pair of gloves when I leave the house in the worning and wear a different set when I roll back in.

Knuck..I'd suggest that you seek help immediately. I just happen to run a on-line therapy service & a simple credit card will get you on track to mental health. . I also have gloves for every conceivable situation & a rough count I'd guess 20+ pair. Perfectly normal?
but when i am on a serious tour i carry one set for normal weather, one set of rain gloves (sailing boat gloves) and one set of electric gloves.........also pick up cheap disposable black cotton ($1.50) gloves at travel centers when traveling in hot humid weather which you can throw away after they get to trashy
I found that after a summer season of riding, my regular (And favorite) Vanson leather gloves were pretty worn and stretched from perspiration, and general wear & tear. I purchased a couple of back-up pairs, one made from soft deer skin, and always keep a spare set in my jacket pocket.
I'm a glove collector, too. have gloves for warm weather, mild weather, cold, rain... Someone might think I have OCD but my hands are protected and comfortable. My favorite pair are some $14 deer skin hunting gloves I got at wallyworld. They beat the hell outta the $$ I spent on something I got from HD: Softer liner, more supple, no annoying stiching in the wrong place across the palms, no tag bugging my wrist that I have to cut out.
I know many people that ride with your basic set of tig welding gloves.. soft leather on the hand, plus they usually have a longer cuff/gauntlet. Because most tig filler wire is small in diameter the gloves provide an ample amout of feeling and dexterity. they are readily available at you local welding shop.
This season i bought a pair of Ride Icon Tarmac V2.0 and for summer riding, they are the best. they breath well they dont stretch and they provide good dexterity controll.
I wear the HD leather and fabric perforated gloves in the summer.Winter time I pulled out a pair of Black Skiing Gloves Leather with gortex lining, and the fingers are shaped well to fit the grips. They are guarenteed for -30 C.Thats colder than I ride at.
