We have had some bugs in our registration system. We were trying to import all our past registered members into the new site and that procedure caused the bugs. It is best if you go ahead and simply follow the registration process through from the beginning, then you will receive all the privileges of membership such as avatars, signatures, and being able to edit your posts. Registration is FREE, and is fairly quick and pinless.
How to Register for American Iron On-Line:
Go to the red nav bar at the top of the messageboard page, and click where it says "Register".
You will then see a screen with the forum rules. Click in the box that says "I have read, etc.." Then click on the "Register" button.
You will next see a fillin form where you fill-in the boxes. Once you have filled in all of the boxes, click on the "Complete Registration" button.
You will then see a messagesaying "Thank you for registering" and that you will receive an email message. If you get a usernam or email error message please write me at
webmaster@aimag.com and I will fix that., Hell, write me before you register, and I'll try to make sure you don't get an error message If you don't get the email message, check your SPAM filter. It may have snagged the message and put it asside as possible SPAM. The message should be from "American Iron Magazine", and the subject line should read "Action Required to Activate Membership for American Iron Magazine On-Line".
Open that message and click on the first link in the message, the next screen will say "Thank you, your registration is now complete." Now simply log-in, and click on the "Rember me" box to he;lp set your membership cookies. You might have to refresh the page if you don't get a welcome screen with your name on it. After that, go to the red nav bar again and click on "User CP" to set you membership information. And you should be good to go.
Anyone who hasn't registered before, just follow the procedure above, but there's no need to write beforehand because you shouldn't get any email errors on a new registration.
We appologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we think the revised forum is definitely worth it.
