Tail of the Dragon

My brother and I have just made plans to "conquer the Dragon" over Memorial Day weekend.
Anyone have any first-hand experience on anything we should watch out for?

My Boyfriend has ridden the tail and we are also planning to be up there the same weekend. Biggest thing to watch out for is the crotch rockets running you over. He also said there is a Miata club that likes to scream along the same highway. And of course there is always the semi-truck that thinks they can make the turns. Have a blast. I passed through there last August on a trip form NY to Atlanta. I did it but wouldn't brother going out of my way next time. There are much better drives in the local area. Route 28 and the Cherohala Skyway are much better. Deal's Gap is swapped with bikles which can be fun.

I did the Dragon in June, Left Pigon Forge early am did dragon from TN to NC at about 9am little to no traffic. had a blast.
