Default Wheels Through Time DO IT!

Now that word is out that Dale Walksler is downsizing and moving his Wheels Through Time museum from Maggie Valley, NC later this year I strongly recommend taking the time to visit it before this amazing place is sold off and gone.

I have been to a lot of amazing museums and this ranks right up there as one of the best. You have read about it in American Iron Magazine and other publications. It's great!

Plan now to visit it before Dale's big auction.

I visited WTT museum last summer and it is mind-boggling, to say the least. Dale has amassed a huge collection of old H-D and Indian bikes as well as related stuff. Spent a couple of hours there, but to truly appreciate the place you need to spend more time. I was amazed at the collection, and was very appreciative of the hospitality that Dale showed us. Eight of us were taking a break under the shade trees out front, and Dale rode out on a 1927 HD (all original) and spent about an hour with us. Hell of a nice guy. Apparently the city fathers of Maggie Valley have never taken a liking to his business, nor to his clientele and seem to have made an effort to make life miserable for him. I guess those illustrious leaders figure that they can keep on dragging in the tourist dollars with the old cowboy town shoot-em-up show up on a mountain. I went to it once as a kid in the 1960's but I think today's traveller expects a bit more in return for the dollar. Anyway, get yerself to the museum and get ready to go back in time. A buddy made the statement that the only true way to fully appreciate the uniqueness of each bike would be to have it sitting in one's garage while one just sat with a cold one and admired each little detail.
