Cool Riding to Sturgis

I am riding to Sturgis after the Patriot Guard rally in Ogden, Ut. That should be a very senic trip through Jackson Hole, Wy. and Yellowstone. I am leaving Oklahoma City on Wed. July 29th heading for Ogden if anyone happens to be going that way. I will most likely go through Amarillo, Tx. then north on 287 into Colorado and then up to Wyoming and west to Utah. I'd welcome fellow travelers, I'm tenting all the way.

Yeah I know, I used to just do stuff on the spur of the moment real spontaneous you know? But I ended up payin way to much for everything and not being able to go where I wanted to or do the stuff I wanted to when I finally got there so I became a bit anal about planning and it's really paid off. I do lots of research and planning, and that's really a fun thing to do, cause I talk to alot of people who have done what I'm planning or gone where I'm going so I avoid a whole bunch of problems that way and end up saving a butt load of money.

I remember my first trip to Sturgis in 83 on my 76 Super Glide. Sleeping on park benches at rest areas and on the grass at truck stops. A little older now, and careful planning allows for more restful nights without car and truck horns going off and finding that sometimes overlooked ant hill. Enjoy the trip.

One of my riding buddies does all the planning, If we don't let him control it he gets grouchy, you know how grey beards are Plus that way the rest of us dont have to do the pre-planning, I can just hop on and follow, now worries.
