Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. That's when the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum in Pickerington, Ohio, will open its doors to visitors from near and far for a free day of family fun, community and motorcycles.
The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum Open House will start with free admission to the facility's world-class exhibits, including MotoStars: Celebrities + Motorcycles; Awesome-Ness, featuring the work of the King of Choppers Arlen Ness; and the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. The day will include something for everyone: motorcycle demo rides, a fun zone for kids, a bike exhibition and more.
In addition, nearly 40 vendors from the Columbus area are expected to be on hand, offering up both local cuisine and flair. Companies interested in vending can contact Toni Shoap at
tshoap@ama-cycle.org or by phone at (614) 856-2222, ext. 1340.
"The idea is to kick back, enjoy the day and make it a special time for our neighbors in the local community who think motorcycles are cool, whether they ride or not, or just want to know more about this great destination here in their own backyard," says Museum Operations Manager Katy Wood. "With a full slate of activities -- and the world-class AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame at the center of it all -- you'll find plenty to like. Plus, you can't beat the price!"
