Default Mail Your Gear and Goods to Sturgis

Mail Your Gear and Goods to Sturgis

Shipping is easy for riders attending Sturgis Bike Rally

Are you riding to the 69th Sturgis Rally, August 3-8, and not sure how to haul all the gear and supplies you need? The U.S. Postal Service has an easy solution.

“Tents, sleeping bags and other items can be heavy and cumbersome,” says Acting Sturgis Postmaster Laura Barrett. “So take the hassle out of your ride by mailing your gear ahead and it will be there when you arrive.”

Pack your belongings in a sturdy box (call your local Post Office or visit usps.com for service standards and size and weight restrictions) and send to:

GENERAL DELIVERY
USPS
820 KINSHIP RD
STURGIS SD 57785-9998

Your package will be there for pickup when you roll into town. Just remember to bring a photo ID.

The Sturgis Post Office will also be ready to meet your needs for shipping gear, gifts and souvenir items to friends, family or your home. Check out free Express Mail and Priority Mail shipping supplies, especially the Priority Mail Flat-Rate boxes that you can pack and send anywhere for one low price.

During the Sturgis Rally, mailing and shipping services will be available at both the main Post Office and at the Harley Station, located at 1040 Junction Ave.

I can see shipping crap back home, souveniers, trinkets, tee-shirts etc.... but not to ship it there???

I have never shipped either way on bike trips.
One trip I bought a sleeping bag for the night... gave it away in the morning so I wouldnt hafta carry it. Still cheeper than a motel.

People do it. Not even just for mc trips but other trips via airplanes. **** now with the $25 fee its probably about the same cost.
