Default My PA Rally/Tour [MANY PICS]

A rally setup from another website I frequent and have for years. I headed out to Harrisburg, PA on Wed last week. It was a chilly 45* day for riding but I had a sked to keep. So I headed out...

My odo at roll out Wed

Miles to my buds house in Harrisburg, PA

Odo after arrival on Wed

Thursday

Worked on my buds Buell doing a few mods. Seems like I am always working on a bike no matter where I go. Hmm....

Then visited the BDM delaer, Black Dog

Inside array of bdms

Love this new x-wedge S&S motor

the new $35k baggers

A bridge that got taken out by some big ice chunk

Friday

Me and 3 other guys did the York HD Factory Tour as told HERE

Grab some grub

Back at the Hotel meeting with some more of the guys. Hung out in the parking lot waiting for the rest of them.

I'm practicing some camera skills under the tutilage of my bud who's a pro camera man. His bike the feature...

These 2 old bikes pulled up at the hotel from northern NY. A 1950 HD pan head and a 1941 indian. Both all original with the exception that the indian had some new gaskets and valves. And yes the black dirt on the tins is grease covering rust spots to keep it from rusting more. EPIC bikes!

Finally the last couple guys showed up

We hung out then my bud and I headed back to his place in the rain...

Saturday

Went riding. My bud, local, took us on some SCHWEET roads

Gettin gas and hangin

Too much petro bud

Headin out

The corner that seems to keep repeating

Sweet corner shot with bye bye road

Whenever I ride with some of the younger (sayin a bit of somin considering I'm only 30) there always seems to be a bad corner...

Oops!

Scratch and Drag

Hotty says... "Damn KIDS, I get enough of this at work"

The damage

Some corner shots

So we went to Centralia, PA... couldn't find the closed section of the road, we just missed it somehow...

Coal!

GREEN PA = wind power

The elusive Mrs. Hotty that I had on the back of my bike

Watched this tool drive his 4" ground clearance drive off roading and thought that was ok cause its all wheel drive. WTF!! Go on with yourself and your wanna be Rally car.

The Rally Crew minus Mrs hotty (my buds wife)

We all made it back to my buds house where we hung out for a bit before grabbin some food.

Sunday

My bud took me back out on some more killer roads. The other guys had a track day to attend in Jersey... so it was just me, my bud, and his wife, once again on the back of my ultra.

Got here at the top of the mountain

Looked out...

he's such a loner

guess i'll join him

Always the showman

Made it home today... 480 miles in 6.5 hrs of travel time. Yeah... I maintained 90+ on I80 (Ohio turnpike) from cleveland to Toledo

Finishing odo

Total trip miles

I had such a blast. I truely think that when you mix yourself with different, interesting, and compatiable people it just makes these adventures so much more! I've been to better place or better motorcycle destinations and didn't have as good of a time.

Hope you enjoyed the pics and story. See you all out there!

Wow, I thought all the roads were flat like here in FL Even though you were the outsider on the cruiser, seems like you had a great passenger for a while You did tell her to hold on real tight, didn't you??
