Read the owners manual? ha, I'm a MALE, I only use it to check capacities....

Honestly, I read it cover to cover when I get a new bike, car, etc.... After that, it goes in the file category. I replace it with a factory Service Manual.

I have read the owners manual on my 07 several times - especially since it has all those electronic gadgets - gee I still haven't figured out how to change the security code - seems I have ADD - comes to more than switch this - push that - I get lost. Maybe I will nominate my wife in charge of the security system - boy it will get changed then or the MOCO will never hear the end of it.........I do need to buy the service manual.

Default My first Harley

I read the manual twice before I ever started my 07 Wide Glide and have since pulled it out several times just to check or look for something. I think the manual would be about half as thick if they would only print the failure to do this or that could cause serious injury or death one time instead of about every other page.

I do not have the service manual yet but will buy one and read it through a couple of times. I imagine I will make my own index for things I will likely encounter and leave it in the manual. Unless I have time to kill, I don't like spending a lot of time looking for something.

Default Multi lingual

Why do they have like, half dozen or more (can't count) languages in the manual? ENGLISH or other would suit.

Talking

i read my owners manual when i first bought me bike, and now carry it in the saddle bag with my tool kit. i also bought a service manual to work on it with. my question is why would anyone buy something as expensive as a harley and not read the owners manual. i know they are out there though. while in gatlinburg once i saw a lawyer(he told me later) pulling the side covers on his flhtc looking for the dead battery. since i had read the manual not only did i know where it was i also had a phillips to get his seat off.

Default Beats me

I can't figure why a person wouldn't want to be better informed in view of the investment. I spent more on my '02 Ultra than on any vehicle to date.

Default I read

The Owners Manual to be honest i skim a little here and there now the Service Manual is a horse of another color... There before tackling something .. I use the old carpenters rule ... Measure Twice.. Cut Once..
