Default When not to ride?

I threw a leg over the saddle put my key in to unlock the forks. I turned the key back and forth a few times stumped why my lights were not coming on. Took me about 30 seconds to realize I had the key in the fork lock and not the ignition. Man am I tired! I took the cage instead.

I read an article in Motorcycle Consumer News about gut feelings. It was several years ago but I will never forget. The gist of the article was - after many interviews of motorcycle riders involved in accidents was - they had a gut feeling when they got on the bike to be extra careful..... I have never forgotten that article and from time to time - I am planning on riding the bike somewhere and I get this funny feeling that I shouldn't. So I don't. What does it mean?? I have no idea but you putting that key in the fork lock - was something telling you - you shouldn't ride the bike that day. Just my 2 cents.

Default Gotta know when

I approach riding with a sense of when my reflexes and alertness may not be up to the task. Sometimes you've just been putting in too many long hours.
