I wave to all motorcycle riders as well, as long as the situation permits. In a past life I owned a Corvette and all 'Vett owners waved as well.

Everyone waves in the small town in which I live, but in the city of Huntsville everyone has become too impersonal.

I wave at every bike I meet including Vespas. Once, I waved at this young lad, and he was so surprised he almost took the ditch. But then again I have that effect on men! At rallies, it's generally understood that you can't wave at all the bikes, so for the most part, I don't!! I'm in it for the ride, not to snub people...

i usually always wave unless traffic conditions make it unsafe. Then it is usually a nod. I wave at all bikes, because we are all on the road for the same reason, the fun of riding and the wind in your face. Dang, I wish spring was here already!

Very interesting posts I dig it..
Most times I do a head bob up or down..
Good to hear that all will stop for ALL sickles, yeah baby..
Some of you mentioned how folk in similar rides will acknowledge each other,, yup, seems kinda natural to do huh,,,, Except for Porsche owners..

I found that out when I got my Carrera in '92 in the Bay Area.. I would come across another 911 driver and give a quick wave or head nod or some sort of acknowledgement and by golly, honest to goodness I bet it was 99 outa 100 that would just Look Away..
Here in the Phoenix Valley it's about 90 outa 100..

That's when I learned the basis for that old joke about why is a Porsche just like jock-strap..

Cuz you'll always find a prick inside...!!!!! Yeah Baby..!!

Thumbs up I wave as long as safe to do so

If sitting on the clutch in heave traffic, Just a Nod will suffice for any Rider that understands. If can wave safely will do so.. Common Courtesy among Riders and will always stop as well if a Rider is off the road, unless given the thumbs up all is well... Another Courtesy...

Having grown up in TEXAS - we waved at everybody. I wave at evberyone when I am on the bike - no matter. One day I might need some help besides it is just friendly!

I acknowledge anyone on two wheels no matter what the make. I do the nod thing if my hands are busy on the controls or if i'm reaching behind grabbing a hand full. Otherwise i give a polite hand gesture. If there's no reciprocation i give them the one finger salute!

I like waving to the little kids I see on the side of the road waving at me. They get so excited when a biker waves back at them, and nothing is better than making a kid feel good, even if it's just for a few moments of smiles. I figure with all the negative stereotypes that get planted on us that it's good PR. Who knows, maybe they'll grow up to be the next generation of bikers?

They will be the next gen, majic, and I do the same. Kids smiling makes me smile. We all could use more of that.
