Angry Fri. the 13th...and butt-heads !!!

I would'nt call myself a supersticious person. I mean I don't walk under ladders...but that has more to do with just plain caution. Yet,I'm really convinced that there IS something to "Full-Moons" (is there one today?) and "Fri.the 13ths".

This afternoon, I got a call from a friend who needed a ride to another friends place where she'd left her bike and got a ride home (car) when it got a little "drunk-out"last night. Only had to go about 5 miles...was on the main drag here on the E.side...came to intersection with GREEN light...looked right & left w/o slowing down...and "BA-WHAM"...I got REAR ended, hard enough to knock my ever present H.D. hat into my back seat. Absolutely NO excuse for what the moron did...'cept maybe him (suburban resident) having done a little "Shopping In The City" (drugs) on pay-day...and/or MY luck.

No real damage to my car or self. But,sure am glad I was'nt on the bike,at the time !!!

Gees if he couldn’t see a car.........
Don’t believe in superstition, had a friend define superstitions for me one time, said they were created by people wanting to control weak minds.
Guess that says it all.

I was just kind of joking about the superstition thing...and,really have no interest in defending it's possibilties...but, JUST for the sake of converstation here, the same COULD be,and HAS been said about religion...always consider the source and/or by who's authority !?!

And,YEAH......"if he could'nt see a car"........................

Hey,Steel
Thanks !!! But, I think I'm OK now...locked the doors,pulled the blinds,and have plenty of light here,under the bed,from my lap-top.
Oh,hey,look...found some crackers..."yum"...wonder how long they've been down here ?

I am a very superstious person, but yet 13 is a lucky numer. Dont know if a full moon is in order tonight, but I do see a lot of weird stuff on full moons.

Brainless idiots will run into you whether you're in a car or on a bike ANY day, it doesn't need to be Friday the 13th.

Cool What'er the odds...

Good point,48...and 100% true...so NEVER let your guard down !!

Here again,though...although I'm not like REALLY superstitious - it does SEEM that if your odds of (example) getting into an accident on ANY given day where say 50/50 just toss in a full-moon and/or Fri.13th and the odds SEEM to go to,at least, 90/10.

I really only included the Fri.13th thing to add a little humor to something I was PO'd about..."venting with friends"...which WORKED for me. But FYI and/or WIW...when I left here yesterday, with Fri.13th occuring to me,my thought was..."just my luck - today of ALL days something crumby's going to happen to ME while trying to help out someone else"...and sure enough.......""

Oh,well..not trying to sell anyone on anything here...everybody have a nice Sat.14th and just KEEP your guard up EVERY day !!!!!!
