Hey Wide

I've modified seats to do just what steel mentions,, a narrower nose does help alot..

On Pg. 2/57 of the Jireh catalog are spring shocks that look alot better to my eye..
In the list it says your shocks are 12.63" on mounting bolt centers..
116-154 and 116-152 are 11" center-center.. you will gain (lower) 1 5/8" from the start..

116-152 is rated at 230lbs..
116-154 is rated at 300lbs and states it's spec's are slightly stiffer but closest to your stock shocks..

It states the travel is 1.2" for both---a wee bit less than 1 1/4",, so tire to fender contact is prob not likely..
They are both $140..
Have a ball..

You could add to the rear lowering with a set of lowering springs up front up to 2".

You can also get some boots with a thick sole and heel. That will buy you a bit of reach too.

If the foot controls are hard to reach you can also install the reduced reach kit to bring them closer. Good luck.

You can lower the seat hight a few ways. One is to use a shallower and/or narrower seat. Another is to lower the suspension either with shorter shocks/springs, or to mount them at a steeper angle.

The lower/narrower seat is the best bet for handling, but might reduce your riding comfort. The shorter shocks and springs make lessen the handling and remounting the shocks make the ride stiffer - your choice.

Default tall

Hey guys,

Thanx for the all the suggestions. I think i have decided to go with taking the stock seat off of the bike and take it down to the upholstery shop where i will have them remove some foam from the top and sides of the seat and go from there. I am worried about the handling of the bike if i change it to much, since i tend to charge into the corners pretty hard and out of them just as hard. I tend to drag the exhaust already when two up with the missus so i cant really lower the bike so......I just bought a pair of harley boots with a thicker sole and with the seat work,..........hopefully all will be well.
