Default So the other morning...........

I was sitting on the side of the road with a State Trooper lights a flashing.

I left downtown Minneapolis at a little after 06:00 in the morning. The Trooper was about four blocks ahead of me. Coming out of the city I saw him parked up the road for the usual speed trap. I went by.........He pulled out and pulled me over.

Well the fine officer ask the $100.00 question. "Do you know why I pulled you over?". I thought maybe loud exhaust cuz I just fired it up a few minutes ago and the enrichener knob was still pulled out. Nope not even close. I had no clue.........

Guess its illegal to have "Red Bulbs" up front in your signal housings. Been using them for Oh.. about the last 3 years. Many miles. Stopped by a few County Mounties and never had one that said my bulbs were illegal. I remember searching before I put them in and came up with nothing about them being illegal. Good bulbs too. No fade and Bright bloody red.

At least I had some!!! Jeeez. In Minnesota you don't need signal lights as long as your hand works. Well he recorded it in the computer so if I get stopped the next time. Guess I gotta go get some amber ones.............This is like the 4th time I have been pulled over for just plain ol BS! Don't they have anything better to do?

Wow. I think you got jinxed.

I wondered about Mn. I had a cousin put red lights behind the grill of his Merc. They looked awesome, but the cops in Iowa made him get ride of them too. Had to go to blues and greens, but that wasn't as mean looking.

Hey guys.
I've been pulled over for some really silly BS...and have no special place in my heart for anal cops. That and I don't know the letter of the law regarding what color lights are required/restricted where on which vehicles. But just the other day a friend mentioned the idea of changing his front turn signal lenses to red, like he'd done to the rears...and just off the top of my pointed head (fits a Dunce-Cap nicely) I advised against it...simpley because I'd think (ouch) most people are accustomed to red lights on the rear of a vehicle and I'd fear that someone just might mistake red lights comeing at them as going in the same direction they were.

Kind of scarey, when you think (ouch, again) about it.

As for red lights behind a cage grill...that's where they go (flashing) on some unmarked cop cars.
