Yeah, I live in the opposite corner of the Country--- quite a bit different from where you live!

High beams during the day for two reasons:
  • I think I'm more visible with high beams.
  • If I burn out a filament, I will have low beam available for night-time riding. Of course, I will replace the bulb but it's not always practical to do it immediately.

During daylight I run with highbeams. I've checked it out myself and I know I am more visible and the highbeams don't blind people in the daylight. My chrome is a bigger pain to the eyes when the sun is out. At night, which is seldom with the deer around here, I run lowbeams in traffic, like anybody else would.
