Default Subscription cancellation

Hey I can accept that once my subscription has expired, then by all means either cancel it or increase the price, however I would question the legality of what AIM have done. In UK law I would consider I had a contract with AIM to supply me the goods ( i.e the magazine ) I am sure unless there is explicitly a get out then we may all have a case.

Pity such a great magazine is governed by Mamon?

I don't think Buzz or anyone at AIM is going to take your money run and being blunt that is a stupid thing to say- we may all have a case! I doubt you'll force AIM to continue to accept new subs from the UK by saying that. I'm sure AIM and their staff will do everything in their power to make things right with those who still have a subscription.

I received a letter saying they will no longer honour my current subscription & will refund in due course.

I am aware that this is an emotive subject, however my comments are valid. Sorry you think "stupid" is a relevant word. In our politically correct world I could consider that as an insult.

I dunno what AIM is going to do. I am sure there are ways to get the magazine out to you folks overseas. Just have to Brainstorm a bit. Have folks "Mule" the magazines over when they visit the country?

I suggest that the United States invade England and then you folks could get the Mags "Second Hand" from the troops.

Got my letter in the post yesterday for my birthday, been subscribing for over 3 years now, so thank you very much.

I can't believe in these times that due to increasing costs they have decided to reduce their customer base, which must in the end put up costs with lower production numbers.

I had always thought the subscription rates were a real bargain, especially when converted into pounds, and would happily of paid double as I have only seen this mag for sale in Birmingham at an equivalent rate of $10 per copy. I would of at least expected that we would have been offered the chance to renew our subscriptions at a higher rate that covers the full costs.

I have ordered through the AIM classifieds on a number of occasions, as many of my friends do, due to magazine recommendations and I am sure the advertisers get a quite sizeable amount of revenue from overseas, especially with the weak dollar rate at the moment. I wonder what their thoughts on this decision are, especially if the US home market is going through a bit of a crisis.

I can't get this mag locally so will start buying British from now on.

Oh Buddy what a wrong thing to say, as an ex memeber of 2 Para (2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment) I think we are more than capable of invading you....!!

I had some exteremely humourus times exercising against the Clucking Chickens oops sorry the Screaming Eagles (82nd Airborne) in the 70's. They seemed to give in so very easy, I think it was because the PX was only yards away for thier home comforts.... LOL

No offence meant mate but we all had fun...
