There should be some literature that came with the bike if you got it new. Mine was about $1,600 and for another $300 I could add tire damage. I didnt take the Tire policy and sure enuff...I had a Tire let go!!! like 2 months after I got the warentee.

Double check with your dealer to make sure. Mine is an "06 Ultra Classic

I bought extended for my 07, put on 10,000 miles and decided it was a good machine and cancellled the warranty. I had performance modifications planned that would void the warranty anyway, but after a few weeks I reveived a check for the refund, $1800. I spent is wisely. That was last summer, and no regrets.

Yeah, they refunded the entire amount, which might be different than the US amount. If they don't know you peeked into the cam chest, they won't void you. And if they did, well, I wouldn't want to be them!

I bought it for my 07 Electra Glide Classic and haven't needed it yet. (knock on wood) Ya never know though. I was looking at the items covered the other day and the items covered kinda concerned me. It seems like a lot of interior engine/drive train items are not included, I hope I was mis-reading it. The latches on the tour pack are covered, I'm thinking of going over to the dealer and see if they won't hook me up with a new pair the ones on the lid sound like a thrashing machine going down the road. I'm sure that will be a fuss with them.

No way would I buy one. I have had too many people have problems with them. I had a guy with a BDM that had a 117 CI S&S motor with TP rockers. It was a BDM mistake. When his top end got too loud, and they needed to replace the rocker boxes ect... The extended warrenty company denied the claim. Said it was a wearable component. Complete BS. The owner of the bike is a certified car mechanic and had a record book that would amaze people. He argued till he was blue in the face but still nothing... I could link his thread if anybody wants to read more on the topic.

Does putting aftermaket exhaust and a stage 1 air filter on really void the extended warranty?

No it does not!!! Unless you install the parts and hose something up that causes a failure or the part itself causes something else to go wrong.

What kind of bike do you have?? Carb or EFI? I ask because you may need to re-jet or Download to keep the bike from running way too lean.

Any other mods??

I have yet to know of an after market exhaust and cleaner that messed up a motor. Anyone know of an problem that happened??

I say go for it.

I have a Heritage Softail with EFI. I have Stage 1 air cleaner, Vance & Hines pipes and a Dyna Jet Commander 5. I installed them myself and they work great. I am just trying to figure out how it would effect the extended warranty.
