Default Who Repairs Old Saddlebags?

I have an old set of leather saddlebags that have worn through.

Any suggestions on who could repair them including restitching the seams and replacing the bottoms that are worn through?

Give it a try yourself, Bargainhunter. If you have a Tandy leather shop close they can fix you up with the leather and tools. After pricing leather items, I set myself up for the job and built my own tool bags and saddlebags. It is enjoyable work and you can tool your own designs into the leather for something unique.

Short of doing what Shovel Mike suggested you'd have to ask around to see if anyone would do it. If you did find someone the cost would probably be the same as a new set of bags. Good luck in your quest. I think Tandy only sells on line I don't think they have any stores left.

Try these guys. They make their own bags, and damn good quality, maybe they'll fix old ones too.

Anyone that works in leather can help you out. I go to a Shoe repair guy. He also can expand out to saddles, bags, Jackets. Pretty much anything leather.
