Default Carb Rebuilders?

I am considering having one of my very old carbs rebuilt and I'd like to know if anyone here has a person or company they can recommend.

I have heard of a number of people but have never sent out a carb myself for overhauling.

A few years back I began having problems with the old Bendix carb on my Shovel so I went out and bought a rebuild kit. After I put it in it ran a bit better, but still not as it should. So I was given another kit and rebuilt it again, still not that good. I ended up buying a whole new Bendix carb and putting that on, the old Shovel ran great!

Since then I've talked to a lot of guys and they all say pretty much the same thing, after years of wear the moving parts in the carb bodies get worn and no matter how times you put in new gaskets etc. they will never work right. I'm not sure what these carb rebuilders do that you can't do in a few minutes changing a few gaskets, seals and needle valves. Be careful you don't pay a bunch of money on a losing proposition, but then again I'm about the furthest thing from a real mechanic you can get!

Buzz,
Send me that sucker! I've resurrected several Linkerts (and a few Tillotsons) in the past.
