Exclamation Buyer Beware!!!

Decided to buy some new parts for the bike and got some seats and accesories from West End Motorsports. While I was at it I thought I would save shipping costs and buy some new pipes also. Price seemed reasonable. When I got them they were only the header pipes-- listed under "exaust systems". I tried swapping them for a pair full pipes but they didn't carry what I wanted...so they charged me a serious restocking fee ...
almost $100 to get my refund. So much for saving shipping costs (which I also paid for)!!! That's bull ?!?@#%. There has to be some exceptions if you purchase other items or if they offered the items I was looking for.

Angry Re: Buyer Beware!!!

This thread gives me a chance to vent on some of the internet or catalog based parts companies.I understand the need to save money in these rough financial times, thats why we will install parts that aren't purchased from us (many shops wont-especially tires) The problem with buying from a catalog company is that you don't have the shop to go to bat for you when theres a problem with fitment or quality (large restocking fees or "bait & switch" tactics) I can call the distributor and generally get some satisfaction because they want to keep me happy & ordering parts.Unfortunately it really is a "buyer beware" situation with the majority these companies.

Default Re: Buyer Beware!!!

Just thought I'd tell the forum about a transaction I had today with Dr.V
-TWIN in Sun Valley, Ca.. I ordered Hog Tunes speakers and amp online and within 1/2 hour was contacted by Shawn to confirm order. The order was shipped today and after a couple of emails to make sure of the correct address Shawn threw in a comp. T shirt to boot. I also got a line from a tech. who said that if I had any problems with installation he would be glad to walk me through the install. So far one of the best online encounters I've had! www.DRVTWIN.com
