Default Howdy from NC

My first posts are in the Baggers section. I'm Tom from Fayetteville NC with a new Black FLHX. I've had quite a few bikes but HD drew me back yet again. I really loved my old Moto Guzzi, a great bike and a V twin as well. I was going to buy another one (the 09' Griso) but the Glide was so comfortable I just had to have it. Here's to many miles on the Glide. Willy G.

Hi Willie and welcome to the forum family.

Many years ago I had a V700 Moto Guzzi - ex Calif Highway bike. What a beast! Heavy and solid but it never left me on the side of the road.

But I prefer the good old American V-twins now.

Thanks Buzz, Guzzi's are interesting bikes for sure. I like them for ease of maintenance, handling and sound. Power was not up to sport bike level but it was enough for me. Now, HD is what I learned on, A 75' FXE was the first legal street bike I owned and I'm glad to be back on an HD. They did a great job refining the 09' FL line and I'm glad I bought one. Congratulation on your Maxton accomplishment. My friend Don Angel pilots the Max Lambsky stream liner and has done quite well at the Salt Flats. Hope to see you on the road and at Maxton next season. Willy G.
PS I have some shots in the photo section of some old bikes I've had.

Welcome Willy, from the north of Canada, which probably isn't near as warm as the North of Carolina I'm guessing.
