Default Old fart on a kickstart.

I'm 60 yrs young. Started riding at 13 on a honda pushrod 90. Got my first 74 at 15. Yeah I know, it sounds unbelievable but no one wanted the damn things before Easyrider came out. No suspension, hand shift, suicide clutch. I built my first and last chopper from that old 48 pan. Yeah I know what it would be worth now. Anyway, I now ride a shovel with parts from 58(headlight nacelle) to 2006(transmission gears). Went to all that trouble and still didn't put an electric starter(pussy button) on it. If I can't kick it I am too drunk or too old. Somebody turn the music up! Maybe I'm just deaf but it aint loud enough.
People who like building things with their own hands, even if you can buy the part already made and chromed, can contact me. If my knowlege can help I will.

I don't hang out with Yuppies, they bore me, and I scare them.

Welcome, Skid Rowe, it's good to have you on this forum. There are many, many good people here and you will likely find much in common.

Welcome aboard and can't wait to hear some more of your stories! For whatever reason, the "Old fart on a kickstart" line reminded me of an incident about 30 yrs ago. My neighbor had a Suzuki TM 400 dirt bike and said I could ride it if I could start it. I don't know what type of compression it had, but the first time I tried to kick it, I got tossed over the handlebars and I don't recall if I ever got it started But damn, that thing had some torque

Just curious - how old do you have to be to qualify to be an old fart? I am asking because I am pretty sure I have passed that mark.
