Default Newbie from Ireland

Hi guys, just thought I'd introduce myself, I've used the forums here a couple of times and gotten great advice. I live in Ireland nowadays, but I lived in Vancouver for almost 25 years before coming home here again.
Quite a wet climate here, so not a lot of great riding time in the dry. Lots of bikers here, a good amount on HD's, but most are Japanese bikes (isn't it the same everywhere?). Ah well, at least they're on bikes...
Lots of scooters too, usually used for commuting. Yes, I even got my g/f to buy a scooter to commute to work, next I'll have her on a proper bike, just wait and see..............this is a 52-year-old mother of three who works in the mental health area, so I think she's up for it!!
Good vintage scene here, lots of old machinery, bikes, tractors and cars (& what-not's).
Bikes I have are;
1971 BSA 650 Thunderbolt,
1991/1955 Royal Enfield Bullet (half & half Redditch & Madras so "Red-Ass"),
1981 Triumph T140V,
1982 Suzuki GS750EZ,
1998 Sportster (now 1200, much modded and customised),
1982 FLT Tourglide.

See, now you know what I have to keep me going on those long wet winter nights.....now, if it'd only stop raining......
RobQ,

Hey Guys, thanks to all who welcomed me and to those I've yet to hear from.....
Botzman, let me know when you're sorted to come over here and I'll take a tour with you. I'm in the music biz (performer) so have a flexible work schedule!!
I know all the best watering-holes too!!

Yes, my G/F is very special, she listens to a musician and a biker...how about that? I was complainin' on the phone to her one night on the way home from a gig (middle of the night) about how the bars were getting quiet, and she suggested that as I know almost everything there is to know about guitars (her words, not mine!) that I put my $ where my mouth is and we go into business together importing and selling guitars... One year later, and a trip to Shanghai under our belts, we are guitar importers! Yes, she's special all right.
Might just have to buy that bike for her and give it to her as a pressie....
Just ask me about the traffic in Shanghai.........
RobQ
