Default cntrhub says hello

Here is a project bike my nephew and I are building. I am making a wire harness and we are about to light this puppy off... soon. A couple of more more minor parts to go and the whole bike was more or less built from going to swap meets. The frame and front end are the big expensive pieces, but the rest of the parts are more or less, OEM Harley for ease of service and parts replacement.

I am not a pro bike builder. We just did this as a hobby and more or less bolted on parts.
We did have help with some of the welded fabrications like the modified OEM oil filter housing and exhaust system. The bike frame is all raw metal. We are just assembling what parts are needed to make a chopper, light it off, see if it runs and rides OK, then tear it all back down for paint.

I'll have some questions for the pros. I know I am stuck on a few things now. Just wanted to say hi, here is another chop for it is all about the ride.
We have been building this bike is literally a month at a time. We buy the next round of parts as the built runs out of parts we found. We know what to get or find next, so as to to keep the build going for that look he wants.

We don't know what we are doing, so bare with us. This is has been kind of fun, kind of frustrating filled mistakes; as we learn what works and what does not.

I'll post a better photo. I am going back out to put a little more time in it. I just do not know where to start. It seems I am doing one thing, drop that and go on to something else.

It seems to keep looking more like a bike and there is so much I did not know what I was taking on. My nephew did not tell me it was going to be like this.

I wanna spank him but he is too old.

HELP!!! Weak Spark!

"some times i read every word of a cntrhub post, just to punish myself."

To me, I think I am speaking normal. To you? Oh, ear we go. My old lady has been with me since 1975 and she still yells at me because I lack the communication skills as in what a normal human speaks like. She can't break me of dis spell.

I have a racing buddy is we go back decades. I asked him, you know me, right? He shakes his head no. Looks like things are normal on my end.

Hose we doing today? If my PM buddy reads this, I've had those days and understand too. That was so minor a few minutes of communication gap ago. I ever see you is buy you a drink and we talk about the old days.

And the driver? You, keep going. You don't need to turn the car around. As long as things have settled down... I'm going to tip toe out there again.

Welcome to the Harley forum family and hang in there. Consider the old Harley project like a big jigsaw puzzle and have some fun finding, fitting and figuring out all the old Harley parts.

cntrhub:
Kindly stop posting the links to those videos. They are pointless to this forum. Also please refrain from writing in ebonics. You seem to have a pretty decent grasp on motorcyclia, but your style can be annoying. I would appreciate it.

sdmin, let me ask you this. I am making a point with the vid. He is what he is. I run my motorcyclia library my way. I have guys that want to learn and I am handcuffed no matter where I go = 38 Trophies.

I have a person saying he has the FI covered for the members so shove off is what most tell me. I am still waiting for that answer both here and there...

Flash Tuning Vs. Piggy Prompts - Harley-Davidson Forum

And all I asked was to qualify how he qualifies to know that he knows if he is answering correctly. All I did was ask if he knows his way around fuel injection, then he knows a few simple answers right out of any bike manual that started with EFI or DIF or FI in the pages of the FSM.

It all comes down to are the basics I present in code. So, once the nonsense begins about who is going to be the speaker for all, then someone better work the high tech where I do not have to reveal how you out and out 'click engineer' the performance tune; working against the ECU.

I am not here to start in with every person that is going to start in with me. I am here to race my own race. If you want that bike running decent in the computer world, you won't find it in the FSM. You have to know something going in before you can comprehend the factory manual and they are some easy to understand basic fundamentals.

I have not stopped thinking as a racer. So, what kind of condition do you think I keep my bike in?
Motorcycle Travel Examiner: Roeder Harley-Davidson in Ohio closes

The day I retired from racing, I ran up the dirt it was so much fun to put one on the Roeder. So, if I am in the race tune of computer bike, where I have a knife edge arrowed at a mild tune with this bike I have now, how can I bring your bike up to AMA spec if not out and out tell you what to do to get you there is I am sworn to secrecy.

This tune is nothing. I mean nothing you could not read out of the FSM. Technically, that means, give me any bike built from 1999 with an ECU in it and we can do some damage back then as you can now.
This is more a blend of old tech and new tech. So, back then, you could old tech the electrics same way. See, no tricks. You had carb and electrics combined. Now you are stuck with the only tool you can change is compression only.

Chasing the tune electrically is a whole new ballgame. So, someone has to know how this tune works. I know enough to be dangerous. I want to get you there too. Cuff my hands I shut down the tech and just yes or no your questions in 25 words or less. Your wish is my coma.

My style is (((((LAPPING))))) ANNOYing is pull cable or get out day way!

Cntrhub:
I read your whole post, and it didn't tell me a thing. I'm positive you know way more than I do about motorcycles, but your post and most of your others haven't done a thing for increasing my understanding of them. The videos left me totally clueless. Now, we have a guy named Frisco-Rigid, who I regard as a National Treasure Trove of motorcycle knowledge. You should read his tech posts from the past where he helps various readers solve intricate problems with their rides. He speaks in plain English, and he will modify his English to fit a lesser- or more- knowledgeable reader. And you know what? He doesn't include any videos of talent show contestants. His posts are small masterpieces (read the whole thread to get this), and I learned quite a bit from him. I guess he spoiled me. I believe you have worthwhile material to present, but you are just not articulate enough to get it across. I really do want to keep you around, and I don't want to award you that 39th trophy just yet. One of our members has already temporarily bailed because of you, and I really do want to keep him here as well. Is there a compromise here? Or should I be getting your trophy ready?
