Default New guy in middle Georgia

Hi Y'all, I just joined in hopes of learning some things about the '07 Electra Glide Classic I recently bought with 5K miles. I've been riding since I traded a
.22 rifle for a Cushman scooter in '58. I currently have 3 versions of Milwaukees pride. The '07 E.G., a '92 Dyna Glide with several engine mods, and a '68 Shovelhead in a '50 rigid frame (hence my screen name hardtime).
I have always done all my own maintenance and most repairs (no transmissions, thank you). To me wrenching is part of riding, but after flipping through the shop manual that just came in the mail, I feel more than a little
overwhelmed by the electronic sophistication of my new ride. I hope I can contribute to the forum.

Sure are glad to have you. Can always use a few more of the... uh... seasoned riders.

P.S. Also a Georgia boy.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

Welcome to the forum, Hardtime. In my signature you'll see that I have several bikes as well including a Shovel (thus my screen name). The fuel injection and electronics are a big change from what we're accustomed to, especially in contrast to bare bones kick start bikes. There are a lot of great people here who are more than happy to help us get a better understanding.

Welcome from Texas. My first scoot as a kid was a Cushman Highlander. The big boys had Eagles, Ducatis, and my personal favorite the Mustang. Aw, the good old daze......
