Been riding just about 2 months, completed the MSF class and I'm looking to buy my first Harley. Unfortunately I think I can only handle a Sportster, still developing better skills and don't want to bite off more bike than I can handle. I test drove an Iron 883 over the weekend and loved everything about it but the suspension, potholes hurt! This site is great! I love all the Harley talk going on here.
Welcome to the Harley world and the American Iron Harley forum family. Good luck with your first purchase and MSF course makes a lot of sense for beginning riders and experienced ones too.

Hey, welcome. I'm actually taking my MSF course right now, and like you, plan on picking up an 883 when all's said and done. I've learned a ridiculous amount about motorcycles, in particular, Harley-Davidson, just by checking out this forum every couple of days. I think you'll get a lot out of it, have fun.
Welcome gplayer, this is an excellent forum, you can learn a lot here. Do your best to dodge those pot holes, they are dangerous and can damage tires, wheels etc. as well as possibly causing an accident.

This is my Granddaughter Sky, age 7. Can't walk, talk, or feed herself but look at that smile. Anyone care to complain about their lot in life? Not me!
Welcome aboard. There is nothing wrong with sporty'e, they are very quick, nimble, and can do you good for many many miles of fun. But If you dont think the sproty fits you, try looking at a Dyna!

Welcome to the group. You can't go wrong with a Sportster. I rode one for over 11 years and still own it. I told my wife she can use it while I ride my CB. You'll love the Iron too. It is a great looking bike. Like Mike says avoid the potholes and you'll ride that bike a lot longer. Helps you live longer that way too.
