Red face 75 sportser HELP!

I just bought a 75 iron head. It rides good but it needs a lot of t.l.c. I'm wondering what I should do first and how I can get my hands on a service repair manual.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the scoot! I would guess the stealer is no help for the service manual so I would suggest trying the AIM Classic Iron forum. Never been on it so I don't know if they consider a 75 a classic Sit back and have a cold one, help is surely on the way

Welcome to the forum, and no, the dealer will be of no help to you. Someone here will be able to tell you where to get a manual, although I used the Hanes and clymers when I had my 72' iron head. You may have to rely on those, and they are real good manuals. The early manuals for the iron heads (at least in my opinion ) weren't all that great!
Good luck and learn that bike real well, you'll need it!

Technical: xl sportster

I have used this service for an instant cheep downloadable Harley Manual for motorcycles.

you can print a page or two or ten if you need to....

not the same as the big ole book, but a lot less cash!!!

You know I had a thousand questions pre and post purchase about my old paint shaker. These people here are great. There seems to always be an expert on the particular question you may have. Most are way willing to help you with anything. A week before closed on my bike, I already had a shop manual ordered. It has been a great help to me.

An Ironhead... That's one of the years that has the right side shift? Can't remember when the DOT mandated it to the left side.

Best of luck.
